Nelson Mandela

P1.Nelson Mandela was an South African president who fought for the blacks.  He wanted all the blacks to be treated equally with the same rights and the same respect. He wanted them to get along without any racism and protesting.

P2. Rolihlahla Mandela was born on july 18, 1918 in a small village Mvezo where he was brought up with his dad until he past away (of tuberculosis) when Mandela was nine years of age. From there he was raised by Jongintaba, until he escaped from an arranged marriage he wanted no part of. Mandela went to Clarkebury boarding to receive his junior certificate, where he got the name Nelson from his teacher, then from there he went to Healdtown, a Wesleyan secondary school of some repute.

P3. August 5 1962 Nelson Mandela was arrested for fleeing the country without a passport, he was then sentenced to 5 years in prison on the 7th of november. Mandela was then transported to 3 different prison, Robben island, Pretoria Local Prison, then released from Victor Verster Prison.

P4. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a south african who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the first black South African to hold the office, and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. Nelson Mandela changed the world for most south africans he changed it so they don't get teased for their colour that they can own their own businesses and that all of them could get along and be treated fairly with the same respect.

Camp Keswick

Camp Kezwick has been an amazing experience for me throughout the past 4 days in Rotorua. Rotovegas had many fun activities and tourist attractions, this beautiful place had a lot of fresh water lakes to hot mud pools to a very stinky egg smell. We did a lot of walking in bush walks and forest.

Going camp at Rotorua was a fun experience. Because we got to watch a show and do many exciting stuff. Most of the activities we did we had to walk but that was still fun because we saw different view. Probably the most hilarious was the sheep show. It was this man talking and making these funny jokes. He was a funny man. But the best that I would have to say is the luge ride. It was the best of all.

NETBOOK REFLECTION

I have gained more and more experience using this special device, I have discover a lot of new

digital learning and also learn't to be cyber smart around different sites. Big thumbs up to the maniakalani  crew with a big success on giving kids opportunities and bringing learning to and whole new level.

Mosa Mafileo

 

Mosa Mafileo is a young teenaged kid who went to Auckland University to study politics.  We were blessed to have him come to our school with 4 other special visits that also shared their stories and what inspired them to do what they loved doing.  

MY SON IS NAUGHTY

My Son is Naughty Jack and Ray were at the rugby. Ray’s team was winning so Jack decided to give Ray a problem to deflate his ego a bit. So Jack said “Did you know that today is my three sons’ birthday?” “How old are they?” Ray asked taking the bite. “I’ll give you a hint. The product of their ages is 36 and the sum of their ages is 13,” Jack replied. “That’s no help,” said Ray. So Jack weakened and gave him another clue. “O.K. My youngest son is very naughty.” “Nothing to it,” exclaimed Ray and he told Jack the correct ages of his sons. How did Ray figure out the correct answer and what are Jack’s sons’ ages?

Restaurant Question

The Pizza Place in my town has three tables of the same size. The Chicken N Chips restaurant has four of the same sort of table.

The Chicken N Chips can just seat 24 people. How many people can The Pizza Place seat?

Now a third of the seats at The Chicken N Chips were empty and a half of the places at The Pizza Place were empty. If 18 more people wanted to eat out, how many would have to be turned away from the two restaurants?

PROSPECTIVE WRITTING

Gripping onto the unsteady rocks tightly, KImbo slipped  and precariously dangled in mid air. He used all his strength and energy to try and  pull himself up to safety. He was determined to  make it to his destination which was at the top of the cliff. Tired and relieved he finally reached the top of the cliff.

Looking up in the distance he saw the towering dojo on the peak of the mountain, which was massive. He walked tiredly to the dojo. Feeling relieved to finally make it, he thought to himself “am I gonna get in?”

As Kimbo looked up at the door he took a deep breath and knocked on the astonishingly tall door. Out came a sensei. He looked old and wise, but then suddenly, he pointed away as if kimbo was not allowed to be in the dojo.

Kimbos looked down and thought to himself “I must show respect to the sensei”, so he decided to meditate all day and all night to show his respect.  He waited and waited, then he took a peek with one eye open, and there standing was the senesi and again he pointed away and slammed the door .

His shoulders drop as well as his head, he walked away feeling down but all of a sudden he must of thought that he put his life on the line just to be in the dojo . He walked back and kick down the and pulled a stanice as if he was going to challenge the senesi. The senesi pointed at the sign and Kimbo looked ist said “ please use the side entrance” kimbo was ahamed.

Once upon a time there live three apes Cyborg which is the smallest, Kuniunicle which is the middle size and Octshovablair which is the big fat meaty ape. “ Our banana tree has run out of bananas” said Cyborg. Kuniunicle Shouted “ I can see another tree and it’s full of yellow juicy bananananananananas.They needed a plan. They spotted a vine hanging from a solid branch but they have to swing on a vine to get across to the juicy tree. There is one problem it has a t-rex living under it. The t-rex was sleeping and the apes were ready to swing across when they saw the vines, but they woke up the t-rex who tries to eat them. The T-Rex roared- “rah rah rah rah”. Cyborg the anorexic one says “don’t eat me please I’m too little i’ve got no meat wait for the next one”. Kuniunicle is the medium size one that said “don’t eat me wait for the fat one”. Octshovabulair is obese that swang on the vine, then suddenly the vine broke, Octshovabulair squashes the t-rex while his bums clapping and doing a large earthquake fart.They finally all made it to the other side, “Thank the lord that we made it to these juicy bananas” said Kuniunicle. “Are you thinking what i’m thinking” said Cyborg. Octshovablair then replied “Yeah gee let’s twerk it out”. So in celebration and triumph they ate all the juicy bananas while twerking, and they all lived happily ever after. They then formed a dance crew and became back up dancers for Chris Brown.

A SIMPLY WAY TO MAKE ICE CREAM

Ingredients.

1/2 Cup Milk

1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla

1 Tablespoon Sugar

4 Cups crushed Ice

4 Tablespoons Salt

2 Small size Zip-loc Bags

1 Large size Ziploc Freezer bag

Towel or Warm Gloves

1. first the class but not me Mixed the milk with Vanilla and sugar together in one of the small size bags. Seal tightly, allowing them to let little air out to remain in the bag as possible.  Too much air left inside may force the bag to open during shaking.

2. Place this bag inside the other small size bag, again leaving as little air inside as possible and sealing well. By double-bagging, the risk of salt and ice leaking into the ice-cream is minimized. Put the two bags inside the large size bag and fill the bag with ice, then sprinkle salt on top.

3. Again let all the air escape and seal the bag. Wrap the bag in the towel or put your

gloves on, and shake and massage the bag, making sure the ice surrounds the cream mixture.

4.Five to eight minutes is adequate time for the mixture to freeze into ice-cream.

THE HEART ATTACK GRILL

I Think that the Heart Attack Grill should not be able to Operate their business in Auckland New Zealand Glen Innes.

The heart attack grill's food is filled with grease sodium and sugar. Eating this food will lead to many more health problems amongst the people in Glen Innes  , they also give out unlimited fries  which are tipped into a lot of lard oil which is from animal fat their beef are full of alot of fat with heaps of grease and not much protein also they have burgers with 1 to 4 patties in there burgers, also they give out very large shakes which are full with butter fat and drinks with of lots sugar... The promoter even provides free burgers and shakes for free to people over 350.pounds...

WILL.I.AM

WILL.I.AMs song That Power means that even though you're really messed up you can still dream big and achieve it. It means you can do things that you can start off small And finish big. This is a song you can take and listen to if you need help with stuff. As Dory approached  Marlin who was in a grumpy mood , under the deep blue seas, she said “Hey Mr Grumpy Gills. When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do?” Marlin grounched and replied  “ I don’t want to know what you gotta do” .  

Dory  screamed,  happily singing outta tune "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming,  just keep swimming, swimming, swimming What do we do? We swim swim”

Mariln exclaimed “  Dory, No singing “

Dory grabbed Marlin’s fin and swam down into the deep “ I love to swim. When you want to swim”

Easter

    

Easter is a Christian festival.  Easter celebrates new life. Christians remember that Jesus died for our sins and and rose back from the dead after dieing on the cross. The reason why we have easter eggs is to symbolize the tomb of jesus christ and for eternal life.

THE BLACK HOLE

During the midnight shift at work, John was drinking his cup of coffee while printing out papers. He felt really bored. Suddenly out of the photocopier came a white sheet with a very dark circle right in the centre. He laid his cup on the paper, and it  suddenly appeared as if the dark hole sucked up the cup . John thought  “What just happened here?”

Nervously, John slowly crept his hand into the mysterious dark hole. Feeling incredibly scared, he quickly pulled his hand back, he tried one more time, it was freaky for him. Quickly he grabbed the white cup. Wow! he thought.

While being amazed, something came up in his head. John had discovered what he could do with the black hole. Now he has the power to do anything. With a suspicious look on his face, he went over to the vending machine. Placing the paper on the wall, he excitedly grabbed a chocolate bar from inside.

Eating and feeling happy, he had the same look again. While eying the office, “hmm shall I go in or what?” said John. The door was locked but luckily he the power. He placed the black hole on the door and unlocked it from the inside. He looked at the safe.
John stuck the black hole on the safe with two small pieces of sticky tape. Grabbing the cash as fast as he could, he counted out 1, 2, 3, 4 and even more still. John was searching for more. He reached his hand in, still trying to get more.

Lollipop Moments

A lollipop moments is Good things that I could do for others that won't make them stressed out but feel happy and good inside, would be giving friends or teachers a hand when they mostly need it . My lollipop moment was when a friend helped me run up Mt Wellington and telling that i could do it and I did I felt pretty good.
